Mr. Walter Linn began practicing law in 1915 when he started the law firm. He served the community for over fifty years as the Montgomery County Prosecutor during prohibition. A partnership was formed between Mr. Linn and Terry Harris in 1961. After Walter Linn passed away, Conrad Harvey and Beecher Young joined the firm in 1970 to form Young, Harris & Harvey. The firm continued its tradition of public service as Conrad Harvey served as prosecutor and Terry Harris served as Crawfordsville City Attorney for many years. Beecher Young was active in local politics and many local charities. Young, Harris & Harvey continued for many years as a force in the legal community, but with the passing of Beecher Young, a need was recognized to associate with other attorneys. In 1997 David Peebles joined the firm. Now Harris, Harvey & Peebles continue the strong tradition of serving the people of Crawfordsville and the surrounding communities in providing legal services to business, government and individuals. In January 2004 Harris, Harvey & Peebles were appointed Crawfordsville City Attorneys.
